The New Talent programme is a fully-funded training initiative designed to open the doors of financial services to anyone with the passion and commitment to walk through them.
The response has already been remarkable. Before we'd even officially launched, over 100 people had registered their interest - a powerful signal of just how much appetite exists for an accessible route into the profession.
The programme supports individuals of any background or prior experience to achieve a CII Certificate in Financial Services (Level 3), covering two professional exams alongside mentoring, industry workshops, and a supportive peer community. This time around, we've added greater flexibility - participants can choose between a six-month pathway (eight hours of study per week) or a new 12-month option (four hours per week), making it accessible to those juggling existing commitments. Both are fully remote.
Alongside the qualification, participants receive full study materials, a year's CII membership, access to a learning platform with video tutorials and exam prep, and job placement support on completion. All students also join the Verve Community, providing a peer network and ongoing support beyond the programme itself.
The need for this work has never been greater. The average age of a financial adviser is barely changing, and just 9% of UK adults currently access regulated financial advice. Building a new generation of financial professionals isn't just good for the profession - it's good for consumers too.
There are no minimum qualifications required. Places are competitive and applications close on 14 June 2026. The six-month cohort begins 9 July 2026.
